Abou Jaoude & Associates won the prestigious Best Law Firm of the Year award for Lebanon at the annual IFLR Middle East Awards ceremony held recently at Burj Al Arab in Dubai, with over two-hundred major market participants and legal practitioners attending.
IFLR is the market-leading corporate and financial law international directory and publication, and its marquee awards ceremony in its 14th successful edition is the most esteemed and independent in the region to reward innovative deals and legal teams, with a selection criteria and market research focused exclusively on international deals with a cross-border element, breaking new legal grounds, and setting market precedents. Only one national award for best law firm of the year is given per country to distinguish the firms with the best overall track record for the year.
The Firm was nominated along with other renowned Lebanese law firms who were shortlisted for the award, namely Abou Sleiman & Partners, Alem & Associates, and Badri & Selim El Meouchi Law Firm. Other winning law firms on the night include prominent international law firms Allen & Overy, Clifford Chance, Latham & Watkins and Baker & McKenzie, as well as regional powerhouses Al Tamimi & Company and Matouk Bassiouny & Ibrahim.
